The most comprehensive Care Center for the poor and homeless in our community. In tough economic times, Talbot House Ministries helps bridge the gap to people in need.

• A bridge from unsafe to safe transportation for terminally ill patients.
• A bridge from being trapped in your own home, to enjoying the sunshine and the simple things of life that are so often taken for granted.
• A bridge from being locked away from the world to attending Church together for the first time in months.

The Talbot House Ministries in helping to bridge the gap to independence and safety for many needy residents in our community. In an effort to give people their independence, the clients of Talbot House are involved in building wheelchair ramps, installing doors, cleaning yards and installing grab bars as part of their healing and educational growth in the Renewal Program. Your financial support brings education, healing, safety, and independence to our clients as well as many needy people in the community.

WHAT WE DO

Our nearly $1.6 million budget is mostly spent in the community (salaries, goods and services purchased.) No value can be placed on other services we provide, such as the opportunity for spiritual growth so important to the recovery process and a person's attempts to become an independent and productive citizen in the community.

If we add up the value of all the above contributions Talbot House makes to the community, it adds up to over $8,700,000 per year. But what value can be placed on the contribution Talbot House has made to the renaissance of downtown Lakeland? Our daytime Safe Haven Program for the homeless has made a huge difference in the atmosphere of the city. Our parks and commercial areas are more inviting to our citizens and visitors, business meetings, and conventions. Talbot House is truly a partner in the enhancement of our community, and the people whose lives we help to rehabilitate make their own contributions to society.

Talbot House Ministries Annual Benefit Dinner at the Lakeland Center in the fall.

Donation Levels

• Sponsorship - Reserved table for 10 and recognition in printed program
  • Corporate/Individual - $1,200
  • Silver - $2500
  • Gold - $5,000
  • Platinum – over $5,000
• Benefactors - Donations of $100 or more but less than $1200 will be recognized in the program.
• Table Captains - volunteers who offer to fill and host a table for ten dinner guests. No initial funding required.

Dinner Details:

• Free parking for all attendees
• No charge to attend dinner, but all who are present at the event will have an opportunity to make a personal donation
• Funds raised will help to meet the Annual Budget requirement of $1.5 Million supporting the services and programs of the most Comprehensive Care Center for the poor and homeless in this region and beyond.
