WHY MUSIC?
Sacred Music is an integral part of our Catholic Worship. The correct music should be carefully chosen so it enhances and connects the readings within the liturgy. Music in the liturgy creates an atmosphere of celebration, which is what it's all about, and prepares us to face the challenges of the week ahead.

JOYFUL NOISE
Our children’s choir, "Joyful Noise," invites all children, Kindergarten thru 8th grade, to join our choir. Rehearsals are held in the church on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 P.M.to 7:30 P.M. Rehearsals begin the first Tuesday in September and end  on the Tuesday before Mothers day.

"Joyful Noise" sings once a month on Sunday at our 10:30 A.M. Mass. Also, they sing at our Christmas Eve Vigil Mass at 6:00 P.M. and  Easter Sunday at the 10:30 A.M. Mass. Other events they sing for are our First Holy Communion Mass and also for our Spring Mardi Gras Festival and other special events throughout the year. ADULT CHOIR
The adult choir sings at the 10:30 A.M. Mass on Sunday unless otherwise specified. The choir also sings at Christmas Midnight Mass, Holy Thursday and the Easter Vigil on Saturday Evening. Twice a year we sing at Talbot House for their prayer services.

We would like to welcome back all of our regulars, and encourage all those who have a good singing voice and can read music a little to join us for the opening of our 2010/2011 season. Anyone 18 years of age and over is welcome. Rehearsals will be held on Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the church beginning September 2nd. Adult cantor practices will be held Thursday from 6:00 - 6:30 PM prior to Adult Choir practice. BROKEN HALO
The youth contemporary band that leads music for every other 5 PM Mass on Sundays, alternating wtih "7th Trumpet". Broken Halo is open to 6th to 12th graders. We lead music on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month, with practice at 3:30 on Sundays in the Church prior to Mass. If you are interested in joining "Broken Halo", please call Matthew McGowan at 860-8022.

7TH TRUMPET
The adult contemporary band that leads music for every other 5 PM Mass on Sundays, alternating with "Broken Halo". We lead music on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month. We practice at 3 PM on Sundays, prior to Mass. If you are interested in joining "7th Trumpet", please contact Amanda Livermore.
